![]() When you play any of the main end game mode, you know exactly what fixed rewards you will get, on top of random loot. It is balance around multiplayer, while PoE is balance around single player, while supporting multiplayer.Īlso what I think D3 done right is fixed rewards. D3 plays better but there's less variety in gameplay.ĭ3 is simple in gearing, & character customization, but strong in combat and multiplayer. D3 is more casual but is set up much better for group play. IMO the differences now are the same they have always been. In D3 they even go as far as removing or making spell effects transparent to other players so the screen isn't a mess and you can actually keep track of what is happening. You don't get lag in D3 until you hit the ceiling of endgame content and the enemies have so much HP it bogs down the server trying to do all the math. Also this game is a cluster eff in groups and it lags and crashes a lot on high settings. Trying to find a group to do master rotations or beachheads is not the same. I would love some sort of worthwhile group activity in PoE. I'm tired of sitting in my hideout with my thumb up my ass wondering what to do because I'm burnt out on grinding maps. PoE needs some sort of worthwhile random group activity like bounties in D3. Once you hit the endgame in PoE you better have a group of friends or a clan or you will never play in a group. One thing I will give D3 that has a massive leg up on PoE is random groups. Combat is tighter and feels more fluid in D3, but it's not as varied as PoE as far as enemy modifiers and bosses. D3 is much less of a single player dick measuring contest, but it's too simplified and has less build options.
